Functional reserve
We assess aerobic capacity and exercise tolerance using the test suited to your risk and procedure

Program
Clinical preparation before planned surgery, followed by a coordinated pathway to rebuild capacity after discharge.
€300 deposit, deducted from the total. We confirm availability before closing the stay.
The program
The protocol begins before the first consultation: the team studies the case, shares its reasoning and prepares a sequence that is then adjusted with you.
Each case is prepared before arrival. The team reviews medical history, the planned operation, medication, test results and functional capacity; it then shares its reasoning and builds one five-day plan connecting medical assessment, movement, nutrition, rest and preparation for discharge. The value is not in accumulating consultations or treatments, but in the hours of analysis, coordination and adjustment used to decide what that person needs and what should be left out. Progevita does not perform surgery or replace assessment by your surgeon or anaesthetist: with your consent, it complements their plan and avoids conflicting advice.
For people with elective surgery already planned who have time to prepare, particularly when deconditioning, frailty, low strength, anaemia, metabolic risk or limited recovery support may matter. The operation date, procedure and approval of the surgical team determine the final scope.
Clinical priorities
We do not try to optimize everything at once. We order these areas around your data and the program goal.
We assess aerobic capacity and exercise tolerance using the test suited to your risk and procedure
Body composition, grip strength and progressive work to reach surgery with more functional margin
We review protein, nutritional status and iron; replacement is guided by tests and time available
We record medicines and supplements and coordinate any adjustment with the prescriber and anaesthesia team
We address rest, expectations, pain education and ways to approach the process without unrealistic promises
We plan the return to mobility, strength and autonomy around discharge advice and wound recovery
Your experience
Five days give us time to observe, measure and work with you. Between sessions, the team interprets what it finds and prepares the next step; the plan then continues towards surgery and adapts after discharge.
We assess, work with you and adjust the protocol around your response each day.
Training, nutrition and weekly follow-up adapted to the surgery date.
Your hospital performs the procedure. We share useful information without replacing surgery or anaesthesia.
We review mobility, strength, pain and safety before progressing rehabilitation or water work.
The next step is to choose dates and activate the medical pre-consultation.
Personalised protocol
A consultation does not begin when you sit down with a professional. Before and after it, the team spends time reviewing, coordinating and preparing. This is why the programme is not presented as a bundle of appointments or treatments: each element is used only when it helps build the plan that case needs.
We assess them with you and only add them when they can change decisions.
Recovery stay after discharge
Duration and content are defined around the discharge report, mobility and wound status
Intravenous iron when indicated
Only for confirmed deficiency, limited time or poor response/tolerance to oral iron, with prescription and follow-up
Postoperative balneotherapy and hydrotherapy
Only after the wound has closed and the surgical team has approved immersion and water exercise
5 days
from €2,380
Next step
The deposit activates the initial review of your case and is deducted from the final price if you confirm the stay.
Dive deeper into the science
The concepts and treatments behind this program, explained on the blog by our medical team.

Grip strength is a quick measure of muscular function, not a longevity clock. Here is how to test it, interpret clinical cut-offs and decide when a result needs attention.

A normal haemoglobin result does not rule out depleted iron stores. Learn how ferritin, transferrin saturation and symptoms fit together—and why finding the cause matters as much as replacing iron.

Sarcopenia is not identified by muscle size alone. Learn how to spot declining strength, understand the diagnosis and begin a safe, realistic plan.

Turning 40 does not flip a switch. Learn to separate normal fatigue, poorly tolerated load, injury and medical causes without obeying every wearable reading.

Standing up from a chair offers a clue about strength, not a score. How to observe the movement, progress sensibly and know when to seek help.
